Leith’s original bistro, skippers was established in 1979. For the past 30 years the bistro
has been serving the residents of Leith & visitors from near & far with the best produce
available. The bistro is relaxed & informal & has a great deal of history.



Over the years there have only been a few owners.hands-on people who have each brought
fresh new ideas to the table. Some even built extensions!

One year on from buying the business Peter Knight & John Tindal along with manager Julien
Merignac & head chef Declan Deehan are proud to be part of skipper’s history.

The essence of skippers has been retained but with a new head chef & fresh ideas we have
revamped our menu style slightly with the current enviroment in mind. So, if all you fancy is
some cullen skink & a glass of wine then that is what we are here for. Of course we do
offer a lot more so if you can, why not pop into Leith & celebrate 30 years at skippers.
